Precision Garage Door
Precision Overhead Garage Door Service, a local Florida operator and franchisor was going through some growing pains to say the least. "We were foundering", says William Walden, company president. "We had 10 mostly unhappy franchisees and didn't quite know the right formula for righting the boat". Enter Jack Eberenz.
With 35 years of franchising under his belt, he proposed a radical approach. Start over. Bill Walden approved and so, together, they set about to rescue Precision Garage Door. In their re-start, PGD started with the basics - the Concept, the role of the Franchisee, the role of PGD in the franchisee's success, FDD, training, marketing and support.
Once the re-start was accomplished and all fundamentals were securely put into place, Precision Garage Door became a model of everything that is right with franchising. Today, PDG is a solid company with over 75 happy franchisees, a sound balance sheet, and prospects for even greater growth. As Jack Eberenz, who was named Chairman of the Board for his role in PGD's success said, "Nice, huh?"
Realty Executives International
Realty Executives International is looking back to a time in 1986 when their franchising business was far from meeting expectations. In fact, they had only nine franchises. They brought in a bright young consultant named Jack who analyzed their franchise model and marketing processes that resulted in a dramatic turn-around in their fortunes, and that - as they said in the movies - was the start of a beautiful friendship.
The relationship between REI and the consultant has lasted over 25 years and together they grew their franchise network from the original nine to over 800 franchises in eighteen countries. "I love it when a plan comes together" said Jack.
Commercial Credit Reports
Alan Tarr co-founded Commercial Credit Reports as a licensed reseller of Experian Business Credit products in San Diego. Within five years, CCR grew from Experian's 66th largest re-seller to 4th largest in the nation. Under Alan's guidance CCR was designated as one of only eight Major Distributors in the US. Alan was elected to Experian's Distributor Advisory Board and served as Chairman for two terms. Twice named Distributor of the Year, CCR grew annual sales over 2000% in twelve years
